Overview

We are supporting a well-established accountancy practice to recruit an Audit Senior. This role suits someone who enjoys leading audits end-to-end building strong client relationships and supporting junior team members with clear scope to develop your technical and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion for a varied client portfolio
Prepare and review audit files ensuring quality accuracy and compliance with relevant standards
Produce audit programmes risk assessments and completion documentation
Liaise directly with clients to gather information resolve queries and provide a professional service
Support and coach junior colleagues on-site and in the office reviewing work and giving feedback
Identify issues recommend improvements and escalate risks to managers/partners where needed
Assist with wider accounts work where required (depending on client and team needs)

What Were Looking For

Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice audit role (ideally operating at Senior level)
Part-qualified or qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) is welcome but experience is key
Confident leading audits and managing your own workload across multiple assignments
Strong communication skills and a calm organised approach with clients and colleagues
Good working knowledge of audit methodology and file completion standards
Full UK driving licence preferred (depending on client site requirements)
