Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in a recognized mental health discipline (social work psychology nursing rehabilitation counseling etc.).

Experience:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of direct service experience working with individuals with mental illness.
  2. Supervisory experience preferred.

About the Role: This position supports the Program Director in overseeing clinical services staff supervision quality management property accountability fiscal oversight and community relations within a residential mental health program. The role ensures that treatment services meet regulatory standards staff receive appropriate guidance and training and residents receive highâquality rehabilitative and clinical support. This position plays a key leadership role in maintaining program compliance supporting staff performance and fostering a safe therapeutic environment for residents.

Primary Responsibilities:

Clinical Services Oversight

  • Assign caseloads coordinate staff activities and oversee delivery of treatment services.

  • Provide clinical oversight of symptom assessment and rehabilitative services.

  • Monitor individual and group counseling sessions for quality and adherence to guidelines.

  • Ensure staff gather and evaluate medical psychological and social information for treatment planning.

  • Review case records treatment plans assessments progress notes and data entry for accuracy and completeness.

  • Educate staff on available clinical services recreational activities and agency programs.

  • Review crisis assessments and guide staff on crisis intervention techniques.

  • Ensure staff accompany residents to medical social service and government appointments.

  • Report serious incidents and complete incident reports.

  • Lead clinical meetings in the Program Directors absence.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and infectionâcontrol policies.

Personnel Supervision & Management

  • Assist with scheduling timeâclock edits and ensuring compliance with attendance policies.

  • Recommend disciplinary actions and conduct disciplinary counseling when authorized.

  • Participate in performance evaluations recognition recommendations and merit assessments.

  • Conduct staff supervision per program and division policy.

  • Ensure staff complete required inâservice and vendorâprovided training.

  • Conduct trainings on clinical topics charting safety plans emergency procedures and exposure control.

  • Support employee accident reporting and workers compensation submissions.

  • Monitor workplace morale and address harassment or discrimination concerns.

  • Assist with onboarding orientation and supervision of volunteers and interns.

  • Oversee administrative tasks such as recordkeeping equipment maintenance visitor reception and supply management.

Property Accountability

  • Maintain accountability and serviceability of program property including vehicles.

  • Report and investigate lost stolen or damaged property.

  • Recommend purchases and conduct regular inspections of property and resident rooms.

  • Establish keyâcontrol procedures.

  • Recommend disciplinary action for staff negligence involving property loss or damage.

Quality Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal state city and agency regulations.

  • Monitor quality of rehabilitative services.

  • Assist with missionâaligned program development.

  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Corporate Compliance for audits.

  • Review corrective action plans incident reports and evaluation reports.

  • Assist with statistical data submission.

Fiscal Oversight

  • Assist with budget control spending prioritization and monitoring.

  • Review and recommend approval of purchase orders and financial requests.

  • Oversee resident fund management and census monitoring.

  • Support efforts to maximize revenue through entitlements and occupancy.

Consumer & Family Involvement

  • Educate staff on the value and levels of consumer and family involvement.

  • Develop strategies and activities that foster collaboration with families.

  • Support development of consumer involvement committees.

Community Relations

  • Promote mental health programs within the community.

  • Serve as liaison to elected officials and community boards.

  • Educate staff and residents on maintaining constructive community relationships.

  • Collaborate with organizations on longâterm mental health program planning.

Investigations

  • Conduct internal investigations of incidents as directed by the Program Director.

General Duties

  • Use agency communication tools (computers phones etc.) regularly.

  • Maintain consistent attendance and participate in onâcall rotation.

  • Perform additional tasks such as facility inspections landlord communication hosting visitors and committee participation.

  • Other duties as assigned.
