Location: Syracuse NY

• Assignment Type: Contract

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Weekly Pay:

• Local: $1345/week

• Travel: $1531/week

Assignment Details

• Shift: Night Shift

• Hours: 312-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• Holiday Requirement: Some holidays required

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with experience in Behavioral Health to support a Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Unit. The LPN will provide direct nursing care to patients ages 517 monitor behavioral health conditions and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team in a structured inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care

• Provide direct nursing care for pediatric behavioral health patients ages 517

• Implement nursing care plans under supervision of the RN or care team

• Monitor patient behavior emotional status and treatment response

Clinical Support

• Record vital signs patient progress and observations

• Assist physicians and care teams with patient evaluations and procedures

• Administer medications and injections within LPN scope of practice

Behavioral Health Monitoring

• Observe and report patient responses to treatment

• Support therapeutic activities and structured treatment plans

Administrative & Documentation

• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems

• Assist with patient intake scheduling chart preparation and clinical coordination

• Ensure clinical areas remain organized and safe for patient care

Required Skills

• Pediatric patient care experience

• Knowledge of behavioral health nursing practices

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively with children adolescents and families

• Strong organizational and documentation skills

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State LPN License

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience

• CPR Certification

• Pediatric (Peds) experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• Inpatient behavioral health or psychiatric experience

• Experience working with child and adolescent populations

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
