Job Summary
Miles Chevrolet is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance professional to join our team in Decatur IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep repair and functionality of our facility and equipment contributing to a safe and efficient working environment. Additionally this role includes lawncare and custodial duties to maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the property.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment including HVAC plumbing electrical and mechanical systems.
- Inspect buildings equipment and systems to identify issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and report on issues or needs to management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services when necessary.
- Perform lawncare duties such as mowing trimming and general landscaping upkeep.
- Carry out custodial duties including cleaning waste removal and maintaining facility cleanliness.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of building systems such as HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Experience with lawncare and custodial tasks preferred.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
