Job Summary

Were looking for a Senior Director of Digital to own the channels and experiences that drive how businesses around the world discover evaluate and choose Klaviyo. This role sits at the center of our growth engine accountable for translating digital presence into sign-ups and ARR across paid media website SEO/AEO and lifecycle.

This is a role that requires both performance depth and brand instinct. Youll be expected to drive efficient measurable growth through digital channels while also helping Klaviyo stand out in a market where attention is hard to earn. The right person has done this before at scale in SaaS and is ready to do it again at a company with significant momentum and room to build.

How youll make a difference

  • Own sign-up volume and ARR from digital as your north star metrics accountable for performance across the full digital acquisition funnel.
  • Build and scale a digital growth engine by connecting Paid Media Web Experience and Lifecycle marketing ensuring consistent messaging audience segmentation and continuous experimentation
  • Lead the adoption of AI and workflow automation to streamline operations and unlock new opportunities for rapid testing efficiency and scale
  • Manage and optimize relationships with agencies publishers and tech partners to ensure strategic alignment performance and and innovation
  • Lead paid media strategy and execution across search social display video and programmatic driving efficient customer acquisition with rigorous focus on CAC ROAS and pipeline contribution.
  • Use paid media as a brand-building channel not just a demand capture tool. Identify the moments placements and creative approaches where Klaviyo can break through and be remembered.
  • Define and execute the vision for as a growth asset owning conversion rate optimization through continuous A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Own organic search strategy across traditional SEO and AEO staying ahead of how AI-driven search is reshaping discovery and inbound demand.
  • Oversee lifecycle programs that convert sign-ups to paid customers and expand ARR within the base including segmented nurture journeys and in-product touchpoints.
  • Set the standard for how digital performance is understood and acted on across the organization ensuring spend sign-ups and ARR are connected and decisions are made with speed and confidence.
  • Stay ahead of where digital is going from AI-driven search to agentic experiences and bring Klaviyos digital presence along with it.
  • Build mentor and scale a high-performing digital team across multiple disciplines.

Who you are

  • 15 years of experience in digital marketing growth or performance marketing with at least 5 years leading large cross-functional teams.
  • 3 years of experience being a second-line leader
  • SaaS experience required you understand the self-serve and PLG acquisition funnel and how digital channels connect to ARR not just lead volume.
  • Paid media depth required you have direct experience owning significant paid media budgets and can speak credibly to channel strategy creative testing measurement and efficiency.
  • Proven track record owning sign-up volume or digital-sourced pipeline at scale with strong cross functional collaboration at a high growth SaaS company
  • Deep expertise across the digital channel mix: paid search and social programmatic SEO/AEO CRO and lifecycle marketing.
  • Hands-on experience leveraging AI and automation youve already experimented with AI in work or personal projects and youre excited to dive in and learn fast. Youre hungry to responsibly explore new AI tools and workflows finding ways to make your work smarter and more efficient.
  • Strong command of attribution funnel analytics and the data infrastructure that underpins digital performance measurement.
  • Fluent in ad tech and web stacks DSPs CDPs tag management consent frameworks CRO tooling and how they connect to CRM and marketing automation systems.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multi-channel personalization and journey orchestration across paid owned and product-led touchpoints in PLG and SLG organizations
  • Track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
