Job Summary

Essential qualifications/training:

  • Higher National Diploma / Advanced Diploma etc. (in relevant discipline).
  • Recognised Risk Management qualification (e.g. IRM International Certificate in Risk Management or equivalent in experience).

Desirable qualifications/training:

  • BA or BSc degree (min. 2:1) in Risk Management alternative subjects considered can include: Project Management Engineering other analytical disciplines.

Essential experience:

  • Previous Project Risk Management experience across various projects (minimum circa 15 years).
  • Specialist knowledge in Risk Management software (i.e. MCS software) and experience with quantitative cost & schedule risk analysis.
  • Demonstrable involvement / history in the relevant project industry and / or cross-over experience from a comparable technical industry.
  • Experience in analytical quantitative risk methods.
    • Montecarlo simulations / 3-point analysis
    • Pertmaster PRA

Desirable experience:

  • Extensive working Risk related knowledge of the Worley industry / business line.
  • Knowledge of various industry Risk Management software / applications available.
  • Experience in internal project delivery processes and procedures (e.g. Worley Project Delivery suite).

  • Capable of communicating with project teams third parties & clients to meet internal and client requirements across multiple projects with several different clients concurrently.
  • Capable of identifying and providing qualitative inputs to Risk Management related process initiatives.
  • Ability to build constructive relationships allowing the discussion and resolution of any risk related issues.
  • Highly experienced in qualitative measuring risks facilitating analysis plus evaluation of specific threats and opportunities.
  • Strong competency in modelling quantitative (cost & schedule) risks and evaluation of analysis output using industry risk analysis tools.
  • Able to provide constructive challenge to project teams to ensure all risks are addressed appropriately and provide support to junior team members with this.

Major accountabilities of Position

  • To be responsible for establishing clear expectations of Business and Project Risk Management within LGCA region in terms of process procedure deliverables etc. and support from an implementation perspective.
  • To be responsible for ensuring consistent Project Team application of the development maintenance and monitoring of all Project Risk Management activities and associated documents across relevant scope(s).
  • To be responsible for establishing monitoring and maintenance of Business Risk Management activities with LGCA.
  • Responsible Line Manager for Project Risk Management Professionals in region.

Key aims and objectives:

  • Ensure LGCA Regional projects pro-actively establish and maintain Risk Management activities on projects as necessary.
  • Drive development and delivery of pre-award project risk management requirements for project proposals.
  • Delivery of a range of Risk Management services to Project teams post award facilitating the identification and analysis of risks on projects at all stages as required interpreting risk outputs and communicating to relevant stakeholders as
    appropriate and business requires.
  • Supporting Risk Management professionals within LGCA region and development of strategy for long term learning and career development.
  • Support in conducting Business Risk for all the locations in LGCA region and maintaining of Business Risk register.

Prime responsibilities and duties:

  • To be fully conversant with the application and use of Worley Risk Management suite of tools and chosen software
    applications.
  • To prepare update and maintain project Risk Management activities throughout the project lifecycle and across the Risk
    Management process:
    • To ensure the timely issue of accurate updated Risk Management Plans and associated documents at the agreed intervals.
    • To provide guidance to Project personnel in defining Risk Management objectives based on project objectives and support application of the risk process.
    • To utilise several risk identification techniques in order to facilitate risk identification sessions.
    • To develop and implement risk assessment criteria as part of a project risk register.
    • To assist Risk Owners with the selection of appropriate risk response strategies and development of action plans to address identified risks.
    • To assist project or functional personnel in the familiarisation and consistent application of Risk Management software tools and associated process.
    • To facilitate Risk workshops and develop project Risk Registers which act as repositories for all risk related information.
    • To conduct Cost / Schedule Risk Analysis Workshop sessions facilitating workshops and facilitating workshops building bespoke models and interpreting associated outputs for communication / review.

Major accountabilities of Position

  • To educate support and encourage managers and business units in the use of quantitative and decision analysis on proposals / projects where applicable.
  • Initiate and scope out regional RM business development opportunities and manage execution with input from regional and global risk teams.
  • To promote good working relations within the internal and external teams.
  • Provide guidance support and leadership to Project disciplines in project risk management activities.
  • Monthly WPR attendance and input where required.
  • Present and provide training on a range of RM topics to internal / external audiences.
  • Monthly Regional level RM performance dashboard with critical analysis.

Allied occasional duties:

  • To present to external audiences on a range of Risk Management related topics
  • Ongoing presentation or support to wider network of practicing Risk Management professionals.
  • Engage with wider Business and Project Delivery function in corporate initiatives / support Global Project Controls in Risk Management activities.
