Group Financial Controller

Overall description of the Role

Swift is looking for a Group Financial to the Group CFO this global function entails the whole financial compliance and operational responsibilities for the Group and its 30 legal Financial Controller is also owning the relationship with external auditors globally and plays a key fiduciary role towards the Audit and Finance Committee of the Senior Leader joining the company he/she will drive the vision of the team in alignment with the companys strategic priorities and with a strong commitment to develop attract and retain you are a strong finance leader with proven track records in building and transforming teams in a relentless seek to innovate challenge and motivate teams over a variety of geographies and skills this job is for you!

What to expect

In this role you will:

• Oversee the financial control and operations teams consisting of a 65 people team across the areas of:

  • Controllership (Group and Subsidiaries)

  • Centre of Excellence (Process risk & controls improvement and automation)

  • Financial operations (A/P A/R billing customer contracts management)

• Take oversight/ the lead on all topics related to financial control and operations.

• Up-to-date technical accounting skills and confident preparing IFRS financial information

• Strong focus on processes and financial controls

• Support on the preparation of the operating metrics to management

• Utilise data to deliver senior stakeholder reporting and identify new benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

• Experience in FinTech or Financial Services is a significant advantage

• The ability challenge and work closely with external advisers (audit and accounting)

• Serve as a senior business partner to all internal teams and stakeholders (Group finance Legal Risk)

• Maintain the financial health of Swift through the analysis of its Balance Sheet P&L and Cash Flow Statement

What will make you successful

We are seeking a strong and highly experience finance professional to undertake these key priorities within our role:

• Fully Qualified (ACA ACCA or similar)

• At least 10 years acting in a leadership role in finance; experience as a statutory auditor is a plus

• Able to review existing and establish new financial processes

• Able and willing to take a hands-on role in finance

• A strong business partner able to liaise with senior internal stakeholders.

• Able to challenge the status-quo

• Industry knowledge a strong plus
