Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Patrol in Roanoke VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or access control needs communicate clearly with site teams and provide customer-focused support to employees and visitors. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within an industrial production location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas warehouses parking areas and perimeter points to help identify security-related concerns hazards and unusual activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Control access at gates doors and loading dock areas by verifying identification issuing visitor credentials maintaining logs and directing employees contractors and drivers to approved locations.
- Monitor cameras alarms and fire or life systems as assigned respond to alerts and communicate conditions to site leadership and/or emergency services when required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner document events in written reports and support investigations by preserving observations and coordinating with supervisors and/or local authorities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
