Warehouse Associate

The role involves receiving storing picking packing and dispatching goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy safety and efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receiving and Storing:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality

• Unload goods ensure proper storage according to procedures and enter items into the warehouse management system (WMS)

• Label and store items in appropriate warehouse locations

Order Picking and Packing:

• Accurately pick pack and prepare orders for shipment based on client and operational requirements

• Ensure that products are packaged securely to prevent damage during transit

Inventory Management:

• Participate in regular stock counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy

• Assist with investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies

• Maintain records of stock levels and report any shortages or excesses to supervisors

Loading and Dispatching:

• Assist with loading outgoing shipments onto trucks and other transport vehicles

• Ensure orders are correctly processed and prepared for dispatch in a timely manner

Health & Safety Compliance:

• Follow all company safety guidelines and operating procedures to maintain a safe working environment

• Report any hazards safety incidents or equipment malfunctions to supervisors

• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling of machinery

General Warehouse Duties:

• Always maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse

• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently

• Collaborate with other warehouse team members and departments to meet performance and quality targets

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Someone with:

• Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent

• Minimum of 1-2 years of warehouse or logistics experience preferred

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic inventory procedures

• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items as the role requires standing lifting and manual labour

• Forklift operation certification is an advantage
