Role Overview
The appointed RN will provide comprehensive trauma nursing care ensuring accurate assessment timely interventions and effective coordination of patient management. The role requires strong clinical judgement confident communication and a commitment to maintaining professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe evidencebased trauma nursing care within scope.
- Support holistic patient management and continuity of care.
- Participate in structured shift handovers.
- Maintain clear compassionate communication with patients and families.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with clinical standards.
- Manage stock and equipment responsibly.
- Uphold professional conduct and positive patient relations.
Minimum Requirements
Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse / NQF 7 equivalent.
Proven experience in a Trauma or Emergency Unit.
Elementary Trauma Course beneficial.
Computer literate.
Willingness to work shifts.
Ability to uphold clinical and legislative standards.
