Job Summary
Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Worked may be performed in mobile health unit clinic or hospital setting.
Job Responsibilities
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results. | ||
Operates mammography equipment and performs mammography procedures. | ||
Assists in developing a network of community stakeholders necessary to coordinate effective events with the mobile unit in surrounding areas | ||
Promotes the services of mobile Mammography Baptist and the need for screening mammography in assigned areas. | ||
Completes documentation as required to comply with policies and procedures. | ||
Maintains equipment procedure/treatment areas and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff. | ||
Completes other duties as assigned. |
Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education
Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Mammography ARRT(M). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date. |
Minimum Experience
6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all Mammo competencies at the end of orientation period.
Minimum Licensure Registration Certification
ARRT(R) ARRT(M); BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE
