Job Summary
The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Elementary French Immersion Teacher at École Springfield Elementary School. This position will commence on May 1 2026 and continue until June 30 2026 with the possibility of an additional contract for the 2026-2027 school year. The initial assignment will include teaching grade one.

École Springfield Elementary School is located in the Town of Peace River and has an enrolment of approximately 360 students. Programming at the school consists of English French Immersion and French Second Language programs for Kindergarten to Grade 4 students.
Peace River is a town in northwest Alberta Canada. It is along the banks of the Peace River at its confluence with the Smoky River the Heart River and Pats Creek. Qualifications:
- BEd primary focus preferred.
- Evidence of life-long learning or continuous professional development that is reflected in classroom practice.
- Evidence of effective use of technology for communication and teaching practice.
- Effective pedagogical strategies in both numeracy and literacy in primary grades.
- Inclusion mindset and practices.
- School wide involvement.
- Solid French Language Skills

Requirements:
- Must hold or be eligible for a validAlberta Teaching Certificate.

This teaching position falls under the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers Association and the Peace River School Division.
Annual Salary Range: $ 62 702 to $ 105 996 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers Association and the Peace River School Division).
