Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Serve as Lead Auditor & Trainer for the Quality Management System.

2. Oversee the maintenance of and adherence to industry customer and internal standards.

3. Oversee the Quality System auditing function to include audit schedule management audit team management conducting audits auditor training audit result reporting organizing of cross-functional task teams and managing of findings to closure.

4. Interface with 3rd party registrar and support 3rd party certification audits to achieve and maintain IATF 16949 automotive certification.

5. Collaborate with management to develop improve and maintain Quality Systems reporting and maintenance.

6. Develop and implement measures to ensure achievement of overall company goals.

7. Problem-Solve and improve Quality Management Systems including manufacturing software.

8. Support customer Quality System audits and assist in meeting customer Quality System certifications as needed.

9. Support Quality Systems goals activities and initiatives as needed.

10. Support the document control function.

11. Travel to support the facility as needed.

12. Any additional duties to be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A bachelors degree in related field with a minimum of three (3) years experience.

2. Strong background with Quality Management Systems specifically IATF 16949. Must have a solid understanding of continuous improvement methods problem-solving techniques audit principles and change management processes.

3. Quality Systems auditing experience and auditor certification is required.

4. Understanding of industry core tools (APQP PFMEA Control Plan PAPP SPC MSA)

5. Knowledge of calipers micrometers CMM Vision Systems and other measuring equipment. (Preferably experience in automotive manufacturing environment)

6. Ability to work with minimal supervision.

7. Proven problem-solving skills.

8. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills including demonstrated leadership ability and ability to work as part of a team.

9. Strong oral and written communications skills with the ability to communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization and with diverse international backgrounds.

10. Strong project management skills; excellent organizational skills and flexibility for multi-task situations; good problem-solving skills.

11. Ability to motivate team members to accomplish goals.

12. Must be proficient in MSWord Excel and PowerPoint.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the direction and supervision of employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Required to sit for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Usual office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment and steel toe shoes.
