The Purchasing Planner will be responsible for planning planned PO scheduling and coordinating the planning processes to ensure efficient and timely delivery of finished products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain planned purchase order schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
- Coordinate with various department heads including procurement sourcing engineering and quality to ensure materials and resources are available for procurement.
- Monitor purchase order progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or delays.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels to support order and delivery schedules and avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to manage the timely delivery of resale and OEM products.
- Participate in new product development teams and coordinate the inventory phase in or phase out based on available forecasts.
- Participate in regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies in inventory turns and DOH initiatives.
- Analyze planning data to identify bottlenecks inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Generate reports regarding product inventory status. Compare actual net flow to calculated goals to minimize excess and optimize material flow and DOH.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis.
- Communicate planned order and delivery schedules to the purchasing and customer order departments and address any priority or lead time issues or concerns. Follow up on promise dates and advise changes.
- Facilitate regular planning meetings to review progress resolve any scheduling conflicts and vendor performance issues.
- Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules procedures instructions devices equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe conditions or practices to your supervisor.

- Demonstrates an understanding of computer software as it relates to lean manufacturing master planning scheduling inventory control and pull systems
- Bachelors degree or certification in Supply Chain Management Manufacturing Systems or a related field
- 2-4 years of Procurement Planning Experience within a resale environment
