EASTCONN is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Coordinator to support our dynamic portfolio of special education programs. Serving 33 towns and 36 school districts EASTCONN empowers all learners through innovative high-quality services that meet the unique needs of students with disabilities in grades K12 and beyond.
This role focuses on providing essential administrative and program management support to ensure smooth compliant and efficient operations across EASTCONNs specialized programs including Bridges Community School (Autism Program) EASTCONN Transition Academy Clinical Day Treatment (CDT) EASTCONN Magnet Schools and district-based supports.
The Service Coordinator will work directly under the Director of Education Services to deliver high-level administrative and program management support for EASTCONNs special education portfolio. This position emphasizes operational coordination data and compliance management resource oversight and logistical support to enable effective program delivery and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director of Education Services in the planning implementation coordination and evaluation of all special education programs
- Manage program-level data systems including collection tracking analysis reporting and record maintenance to ensure compliance with regulations policies law and procedures.
- Organize and manage logistics for meetings professional development sessions program events and leadership initiatives (scheduling materials preparation follow-up documentation and distribution)
- Support budget monitoring resource allocation procurement grant administration and contract management for special education programs
- Prepare reports correspondence presentations and communications on behalf of the Director of Education Services and department for internal leadership member districts and external stakeholders
- Maintain centralized confidential program databases filing systems and documentation to support auditing program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts
- Serve as the primary administrative liaison for program-related inquiries from member districts families staff and external service providers
- Assist with program auditing compliance reviews policy implementation and operational problem-solving at the department level
- Provide additional administrative and project management support to program directors principals and staff as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Education Special Education Business Administration Public Administration or a related field
- Minimum of 23 years of experience in administrative support program coordination or project management (preferably in an educational or special education setting)
- Strong knowledge of program related policies laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational communication interpersonal and technology skills (including proficiency in Microsoft Office databases and data management tools)
