The Max-Viz enhanced visions systems (EVS) are designed and certified for use as an improvement to safety by a vast array of airplanes helicopters and unmanned-aerial-vehicles in the commercial government and military marketplace. PECO-Controls are well established temperature control devices designed for applications where high quality is a must such as the hospitality industry commercial cooking and other critical applications. We are looking for a Document Control Specialist on a temporary basis to assist in supporting the team during a leave of this role you will work within the document control and configuration management fuctions for Astronics-PECOs various product lines. This role ensures all engineering documents change notices and part data are accurately processed tracked and released in alignment with company standards and customer requirements. The position demands detail orientation independent work capability and adherence to strict quality and procedural frameworks. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Review incoming Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for completeness and conformance to templates and requirements.
- Send ECNs for formal review using approved templates and update tracking logs as needed.
- Create release emails and ensure all required signatures dates and file movements are finalized upon release.
- Confirm stock dispositions or rework requirements following release events.
- Ensure hardcopy documents on the manufacturing floor are current
- Create new parts in CSI (ERP system) by loading part creation forms Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routing information.
- Update and confirm released items in CSI with all required voter outside approval and FAI data filled in correctly.
- Manage item state transitions in PDM ensuring data integrity and compliance with workflow approvals.
- Support processing of Boeing portal data (KUTD items ECD Working Data) and validate completeness and accuracy.
- Organize and maintain email correspondence-rename titles for clarity and move messages to relevant folders.
- Identify and resolve duplicate file names and maintain proper version control across document libraries.
- Keep all trackers logs and filing systems updated in real-time to reflect current states of change control and release activity.
- Actively uphold aerospace documentation standards and adhere to configuration management procedures.
- Verify that documents have the correct templates ECCN codes and regulatory markings prior to release.
- Maintain strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy in every phase of document preparation and release.
Desired Knowledge Skills and Abilities: - Proficiency in spreadsheet-based software and word processing tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably CSI) and PDM platforms.
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities under deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail with pattern-recognition for potential data inconsistencies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across engineering manufacturing and support teams.
- Comfortable adapting quickly to schedule or task changes.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience within aerospace document control or configuration management environments.
- Working knowledge of engineering change management processes.
- Familiarity with aerospace documentation compliance and quality assurance requirements.
