Job Description
As a Security Guard - Flex Driver Rover in Sterling VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and data center location you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements with frequent vehicle patrols access checks and incident documentation. You will deliver helpful customer service and clear communication while supporting a culture that is agile reliable innovative team-oriented and grounded in integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including receiving reports gathering initial details and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas loading docks mechanical and utility spaces and exterior perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Control access through security-related screening verifying credentials managing visitor check-in and/or check-out issuing temporary badges as directed and maintaining required logs and reports.
- Monitor security-related alarms cameras and building systems as assigned document activity and observations and communicate status updates to the site team using radios phones and/or written reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A Guard Card or security license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
