As Senior Manager Operations Sales & Partnerships you will lead the strategic and
operational direction of Glenn Gould Studio a premier performance and event venue
located in the Canadian Broadcasting Centre in Toronto. You will be responsible for
maximizing venue bookings and driving revenue through rentals and client partnerships
overseeing event execution and ensuring a seamless client experience that reflects
CBCs commitment to excellence inclusion and innovation.
In addition you will position the Glenn Gould Studio as an event space that strengthens
our ties to under-represented and growing communities.
You will manage a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with internal CBC
departments external clients and production partners to deliver high-quality events
ranging from stage performances corporate meetings and streamed events music
performance and recordings and broadcast integrations.
Key responsibilities
Sales & Marketing
Responsible for all events in the Glenn Gould Studio.
Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to grow venue bookings and
revenue.
Responsible for promotional strategy website and social media.
Manage the entire event life cycle from client inquiry negotiation planning to
execution community groups.
Analyze consumer/market trends applying data informed decision making.
Pursue growth opportunities with partners and independent community
Operational Leadership
Propose develop set and implement operational policy and processes to improve
GGS services including the technical operation of the facility.
Lead and collaborate with company stakeholders on matters of venue safety
maintenance security.
Ensure compliance with CBC standards for safety accessibility and sustainability.
Team Management
Invest in team building learning and development while encouraging innovation and
a culture of inclusivity.
Sustain an environment that is diverse and equitable and one in which staff feel
welcomed supported and valued.
Build trust and enthusiasm that inspires positive client experience and return
business.
Client Experience
Ensure exceptional service delivery from initial inquiry through execution of the
event.
Instill and support a team mindset of partnership with clients.
What you bring
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in sales and partnership experience
connected to the business lines of Glenn Gould Studio.
Experience in technical media operations and production.
Proven leadership experience managing teams and working collaboratively.
Strong business acumen negotiation skills and understanding of labour practices.
Demonstrated skill with budget allocation and event cost estimating.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Commitment to CBCs values of diversity equity and inclusion.
Post Secondary education in event management media production or
communications.
Working knowledge of French is an asset.
