Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Main purpose of Role:

The Key Account Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (RMDX) leads the transition towards Point-of-Care (POC) solutions across both primary and secondary care settings. You will be responsible for driving commercial excellence influencing key stakeholders and drive Abbotts growth strategy across the Netherlands.

This position combines strategic account management stakeholder engagement and business development to expand Abbotts market presence. Depending on your area of expertise you may also support colleagues across BENELUX.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop manage and grow key accounts for Abbotts Cardiometabolic portfolio across primary and secondary care settings.
  • Develop and Implement Regional key account strategies for new and existing product offerings and services.
  • Establish and nurture strong long-term relationships with key opinion leaders healthcare providers and decision-makers.
  • Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify opportunities for business expansion and innovation.
  • Participate in and represent Abbott at key industry conferences exhibitions and professional events.
  • Contribute to the execution of Abbotts overall commercial strategy and achieve agreed financial and strategic objectives.
  • Ability travel on frequent basis
  • Demonstrates commitment to the development implementation and effectiveness of applicable Quality Processes as per ISO MDR IVDR and other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the companys policies and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Life Sciences or a related discipline or proven experience in the healthcare diagnostics or life sciences sector.
  • Strong background in key account management sales or business development with the ability to manage complex sales cycles multiple stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all organizational levels.
  • Strategic and commercially driven mindset focused on delivering sustainable growth and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Self-motivated adaptableand results-oriented professional capable of managing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in Dutch both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) and CRM systems with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • At least 5-10 years industry experience with ideally 3-5 years of experience in sales.
