Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rover in BETHESDA MD you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Provide customer service and clear communication for guests and tenants document observations and share timely updates with your team. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants visitors and property staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas parking areas building entrances and the perimeter; document observations and report maintenance concerns and/or suspicious activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; de-escalate conflicts when possible and request law enforcement and/or medical assistance as needed.
- Control access by monitoring doors gates and loading areas; verify credentials and/or visitor information per site policy and help to deter unauthorized entry.
- Complete timely reports such as daily activity logs and incident reports; communicate updates to site leadership and/or property management and assist with alarm and access control monitoring as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security experience.
- Have at least 6 months of armed security law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Have CPR and/or First Aid preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
