Job Description
As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Route in Rockport IN you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to service requests document observations and communicate clearly with site contacts and your Allied Universal team. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license that meets AU Driver Policy Requirements as you may patrol across the property by vehicle.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings yards substations and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards suspicious behavior and/or maintenance issues.
- Control access by monitoring gates doors and restricted areas; verify credentials and/or visitor authorization; and direct visitors and contractors to the appropriate check-in process.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; request assistance from site management and/or public responders when appropriate.
- Complete timely documentation such as patrol logs incident reports and shift pass-downs; communicate observations and site conditions to the supervisor and/or client contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
