Im Innovationszentrum am Standort in Wiesloch-Walldorf arbeiten Teams aus vielen Fachbereichen an der Neu- und Weiterentwicklung unserer Produkte. Im Rahmen der automatisierten Druckweiterverarbeitung soll im Zuge dieser Arbeit ein bestehendes MATLAB-Framework zur geometrischen Modellierung und Analyse von Zuschnittstapeln in eine produktionsreife Python- oder C-Implementierung überführt werden. Ziel ist es den vollständigen Algorithmus performant wartbar und industrietauglich umzusetzen. KI-basierte Verfahren zur Code-Migration sollen dabei ebenfalls evaluiert werden.

Ihre Aufgaben:

Analyse des bestehenden MATLAB-Frameworks zur Stapelmodellierung
Portierung zentraler Algorithmen nach Python oder C
Performance-Optimierung der neuen Implementierung
Validierung der Ergebnisgleichheit (MATLAB - Python/C)
Integration in bestehende Datenverarbeitungs- und Automatisierungsprozesse
Aufbau einer geeigneten Test-Pipeline

Mit dieser Aufgabenstellung wenden wir uns an Studierende einschlägiger technischer Fachrichtungen mit ausgeprägten IT- bzw. Programmierkenntnissen. Wünschenswert sind erste praktische Anwendungserfahrungen im Umfeld KI. Ausgeprägte Teamfähigkeit sowie selbständiges engagiertes und eigenverantwortliches Arbeiten sind für unsselbstverständlich.

Das Thema kann ab sofort bearbeitet werden. Die Dauer der Arbeit orientiert sich an der jeweils relevanten Studienordnung.
