Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in East Saint Louis IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location as an unarmed driving patrol officer. You will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support access control and incident reporting with clear communication and strong customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies access control practices and/or emergency response activities at an aviation and defense location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings hangar areas parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry points and restricted areas by verifying identification checking visitor authorization and directing traffic flow in accordance with site requirements.
- Complete routine documentation such as patrol activity reports incident reports and visitor logs and communicate observations to supervisors and/or client contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 years armed security law enforcement and/or military experience.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
