The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site which would have a storage capacity of 250000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.
Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.
Position
The Warehouse Supervisor is an integral part of Woodfibre LNGs dynamic team. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for setting up warehouse and logistics function for Woodfibre LNG operations phase and eventually leading all on site and off site based warehouse and materials management activities to support day to day operations and maintenance needs for the Plant. This role ensures safe compliant and reliable material support to operations maintenance and turnaround teams in a high-hazard process safetydriven environment. The position plays a critical role in maintaining asset integrity supporting production reliability and ensuring full compliance with provincial regulations and corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will:
1. Operations Readiness set up
- Develop warehouse and logistics plan the strategy for onsite versus off-site warehousing for materials including but not limited to capital spares 2-year spare parts and chemicals including condensate and set up the specific business requirements for Procurement & SCM team to put contract in place for the off-site warehouse and associated logistics
- Develop a logistics plan including passenger and material barging for Operations Phase
- Develop detailed Warehouse specs design and approval: racking climate control for cryogenics hazmat storage.
- Develop policies and standards that support effective and efficient materials management Develop Standard Operating Procedures for Receiving Binning Picking and Issuing materials.
- Develop specific business requirements to support the Procurement & SCM team to procure Material Handling Equipment (forklifts cranes). Taking the lead on certifying all equipment with support from cross-functional teams
- Commission WLNG warehouse facilities (racking climate control for cryogenics hazmat storage) as per Operations Readiness plan
- Support the development of the logistics management procedures and work processes
- Development of training plans & required training material
- Create a Critical Fast-Track (Hot Shot) logistics plan for unplanned shutdowns.
- Support the development of preservations plans & check sheets and Implement preservation program for materials sitting in the ID/WLNG warehouse during CSU and Operations phase
- Support the development and implementation of quality assurance strategy & plans & work process flows
2. Safe & Compliant Warehouse Operations
- Lead daily warehouse activities including receiving inspection preservation storage issuing and staging of materials.
- Ensure full compliance with WorkSafeBC WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations.
- Enforce site Life-Saving Rules and critical risk controls.
- Promote and model WLNG safety culture.
- Ensure proper segregation and storage of hazardous materials and cryogenic-related components.
- Maintain accurate inventory of safety-critical spares supporting:
- Ensure preservation protocols are followed for long-term stored rotating equipment and electrical components.
- Maintain material traceability for QA/QC and regulatory compliance.
- Support Management of Change (MOC) programs.
3. ERP & Inventory Management (SAP Environment)
- Maintain accurate material master data and inventory records within SAP.
- Perform routine cycle counts and annual physical inventory audits.
- Monitor min/max levels and collaborate on inventory optimization strategies.
- Provide inventory analytics to support reliability and cost control objectives.
- Lead material staging and kitting for shutdowns and major maintenance events.
- Coordinate laydown yard logistics and contractor material control.
- Ensure clear segregation between project materials and operating inventory.
- Support pre-turnaround readiness reviews
- Support the Development of the Reverse logistics work processes
4. Leadership & Workforce Management
- Supervise warehouse personnel in alignment with site standards and processes
- Support workforce planning in a 24/7 operating environment.
- Conduct competency assessments and performance evaluations.
- Foster a respectful workplace aligned with BC labour standards and Indigenous partnership commitments.
5. Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Implement 5S and lean warehouse practices.
- Drive inventory accuracy and materials availability KPIs.
- Support digital initiatives such as barcoding and automated tracking systems.
- Identify cost savings and efficiency improvements.
RequirementsRequired Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Logistics or related field preferred.
- 710 years of industrial warehouse experience in LNG refining petrochemical or heavy industrial environments.
- 3 years of supervisory experience in a high-hazard facility.
- Strong SAP proficiency.
- Demonstrated experience in writing standards procedures & work process flows
- Understanding of BC regulatory environment and industrial relations.
- Safety leadership in high-risk environments
- Strong process safety awareness
- Inventory accuracy & materials reliability
- Stakeholder coordination across Maintenance Operations & Engineering
- Contractor oversight & turnaround readiness
- Continuous improvement mindset

- Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams and contractors in a multicultural environment is an asset.
- Communication/interpersonal skills interacting with front-line workers through to management and all hierarchical levels.
