Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a strong background in Social Care/ Local Authority settings in Brent. The successful candidate will complete specialist assessments support complex equipment and adaptation needs and work collaboratively with families and multiagency professionals to improve independence safety and participation for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertakespecialist functional assessmentswithin childrens homes schools and community environments.
- Recommend and coordinate the provision ofequipment seating manual handling plans andminor adaptations.
- Work closely withfamilies carers schools and partner agenciesto develop personalised plans that promote independence inclusion play and participation.
- Contribute to thedesign of major home adaptations collaborating with Housing teams surveyors architects and external professionals.
- Producehighquality written reportsto support Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) rehousing applications and statutory assessments.
Required Experience & Skills
- Degree / Diploma in Occupational Therapy(essential).
- Experience working withinSocial Care or Local Authority paediatric services.
- Strong understanding ofequipment provision seating moving & handling and adaptations.
- Experience withDFG processes including supporting major and minor adaptations.
- Ability to work effectively across a range of environments including homes schools clinics and community settings.
- Excellent written communication and reportwriting skills.
- Ability to work3 days per week onsiteas part of the hybrid model.
