Receiving General Labor

• Report all incidents near hits and any safety concernsimmediatelyto lead/Team Leader.

• Follow all PPE and GMP requirements.

• Obtain and Maintain Walkie/Pallet Jack training and certification.

• Responsible for a clean and organized work areaat all times.

• Record information on the raw product brought into the plant.

• Assistdrivers by safely guiding trucks into the proper unloading position.

• Maintain cleanliness of All RR equipment andmonitormud pit.

• Perform the set up andmaintainoperation of dry sizing equipment.

• Maintain all paperwork onproductbrought into the plant.

• Receive rawproductinto the bays.

• Communicate with Peeler Operator todeterminewhen and where trucks are to be unloaded.

• Verify with the driver what grower product is on the truck anddeterminefrom the sample ticket what samples are to be taken.

• Take samples as directed using proper sampling procedures to ensureaccuratesamples.

• Coordinate movement of sample bins to the WSDA area.

• Ensure all electrical cords are properly secured and in good condition.

• Perform daily sanitation activities toinclude;regular cleaning rinsing equipment sweeping squeegeeing shoveling and moving waste bins.

• Assistin cleaning Rock Trap (Flodin).

• Assistin completion of CIL (Clean inspect lube) tasks.

• Assistin inspecting rawproductfor foreign material while unloading the truck.

• Perform Major clean activities toinclude;cleaning andrinsing ofequipment sweeping squeegeeing shoveling and chemical use.

• Work as a team with all other employees in the raw receiving area to ensure work progresses as smoothly as possible.

• Communicate equipment issues with Peeler operator lead or team leader.

• Train new personnel in the position of Raw Product Receiver Unloader.

• Perform other duties as assigned

Education/ Certifications:(Required & Preferred)

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

• Lock-out/Tag-out Forklift and Sanitation certification may be. If you are not qualified you willbe trained and must meet certification requirements.

Skills and Experience:

• Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English both written and oral. (Requirementmay vary by location).

• Must be able to be qualified withintime framesestablishedbyfacility.

• Ability to perform basic math functions.

• To perform this job successfully an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge data entry skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Physical Environment/Demands:

• Ability tolift upto50pounds and to stand walk bend stoop twist and turn frequently.

• Exposed to a noisy environmentthatvaries from hottocold in temperature

• Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 8 hours perwork dayto include: loudnoise excessive heat cold wet slippery conditions dirt fumes smokesmellsand allergies

• Ability to do repetitious arm wrist and hand movementsforjob actions and procedures.

• Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead and to work in or under the equipment.

• Requires manual dexterity overallcoordinationand good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.Ability tooperatework related equipment

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation

• May have to sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston products

• Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis
