Senior Principal, Technical Product Owner

As a Technical Product Leader focused on Cloud and DevOps you willbe responsible fordesigning and implementing comprehensive solutions that align business needs with technology. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including developers UI/UX designers data engineers project managers and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of scalable and efficient software solutions at Fort Worth Texas. In this role a typical day will include:

• Act as a bridge between the development team and business stakeholders with a strong emphasis on technical aspects.

• Collaborate closely with DevOps and cloud infrastructure teams to ensure the products architecture aligns with business goals.

• Prioritize features and technical debt manage the product backlog and ensure that the infrastructure meets scalability security and performance requirements.

• Lead the design and architecture of software solutions considering factors such as scalability performance security and maintainability.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements translating them into technical specifications and solution designs.

• Evaluate and recommendappropriate technologies frameworks and tools to support the implementation of software solutions ensuring alignment with project requirements and organizational standards.

• Define and oversee the integration of various software components third-party systems and APIs to create cohesive and interoperable solutions.

• Develop prototypes and proof of concepts tovalidatetechnical feasibility anddemonstrateproposed solutions to stakeholders.

• Design and implement observability solutions including monitoring logging and tracing capabilities to ensure visibility into platform performance health and behavior.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams ensuring adherence to best practices coding standards and architectural guidelines.

• Identifypotential risks and issues related to solution architecture and propose mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.

• Collaborate with developers tooptimizethe performance of software applicationsconductingperformanceanalysisandimplementingnecessary optimizations.

• Create andmaintaincomprehensive documentation of solution architectures design decisions and technical specifications.

• Stay abreast of industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in software engineering and architecture and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent years of related experience (or high school15 yrs; Assoc.11 yrs; M.S.4 yrs; PhD3 yrs)

• The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English

• 7 Years of Relevant Experience

• 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science Engineering ora relatedfield.

• Proven experience working as a Technical Product Manager or Owner or in a similar role within software engineering.

• Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure DevOps and software architecture.

• Experience in Agilemethodologiesandproduct management.

• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Deep understanding of software architecture principles design patterns and best practices.

• Expertisein digital platform architecture microservices APIs and cloud-native technologies.

• Proficiencyin at least one programming language such as C# Java or Python witha strong foundationin software development.

• In-depth knowledge of relational databases and NoSQL databases including design optimization and management.

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and related services.

• Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog Dynatrace etc.

• Proficiencyin using Git for version control branching and merging strategies ensuring effective collaboration and code management across development teams.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

• Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.

• Healthcare domain experience is a plus.
