About the role:

Werehiring a Senior IoT Engineer to join ourNetworksteam.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on the connectivity and device platform that powers our digital screen network across Europe.

Our estate includes thousands of connected devices deployed in real-world environments including digital displays edge compute nodes and telemetry systems. Ensuring these devicesremainsecurely connected observable and remotely manageable is critical to how our platformoperates.

You will work across IoT connectivity edge networking device lifecycle management and cloud integration helping ensure that our physical infrastructureoperatesreliably at scale.

Alongside day-to-day engineering and operations you will play a key role in modernising how connected devices are deployedmonitored and managed across the platform through automation and modern engineering practices.

This role is not simply aboutmaintaininginfrastructure.
You will be expected to continuously improve how our connected device ecosystemoperates.

What Success Looks Like

You will make a meaningful impact by:

• Maintaininghigh device connectivity and uptime across the IoT estate ensuring thousands of deployed screensremainreliably connected across cellular edge and cloud infrastructure
• Reducing device connectivity incidents and time to resolution improving how quickly faults are detected diagnosed and resolved across the platform
• Increasing visibility into device health and connectivity giving engineering teams clear telemetry and monitoring across thousands of endpoints in production
• Reducing manual operational effort through automation enabling devices to be provisioned configured and managed consistently at scale
• Improving the resilience and stability of the connected device platform ensuring connectivityremainsreliable even in complex real world deployment environments
• Strengthening the security posture of the device ecosystem ensuring endpoints connect safely into enterprise and cloud environments

Whatyoullbe doing:

• Design andoperatethe connectivity layer that links thousands of edge devices and digital screens to cloud platforms across multiple European markets
• Manage secure device connectivity including 4G and 5G modems SIM lifecycle management and APN configuration
• Build andmaintainthe device telemetry and messaging layer using protocols such as MQTT HTTP or AMQP
• Automate device provisioning and lifecycle management using Python APIs and infrastructure-as-code tooling
• Improve device observability and monitoring across the fleet enabling faster detection and resolution of connectivity issues
• Collaborate with platform infrastructure and security teams to ensure the reliability and security of the connected device ecosystem
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of our edge and connected infrastructure platform

Whatwerelooking for:

IoT & Edge Systems

• Experience working withlarge scale IoT or connected device environments.

• Strong understanding ofIoT communication protocols such as MQTT HTTP/HTTPS CoAP or AMQP.

• Experience working withIoT gateways edge devices or distributed device fleets.

• Understanding ofdevice lifecycle management including provisioning firmware updates remote management and telemetry.

• Experience working withLinux-based edge systems or embedded environments.

Connectivity & Networking

• Strong understanding ofTCP/IP networking fundamentals includingDNS DHCP routing switchingcybersecurityand VPN technologies.

• Strong understanding of wireless technologies from BLE (WPAN) toLoRA(LPWAN) to NB-IOT (Cellular). the differences constraints and use cases.

• Experienceintroubleshootingend-to-endconnectivity across distributed device fleets or remote infrastructure.

• Hands on experience working withcellular connectivity technologies such as 4G and 5G including SIM lifecycle management and APN configuration.

Cloud Data & Observability

• Experience integratingdevice data and telemetry into cloud platforms or APIs.

• Hands-on experience working withAzure networking or cloud connectivity.

• Experience working withmonitoring and observability platformssuch as GrafanaZabbixIcinga or similar telemetry systems.

Security & Engineering Approach

• Strong understanding ofsecure device connectivity and IoT security principles.

• Familiarity with security frameworks such asISO 27001 or the OWASP IoT Top 10.

• Experience automating infrastructure or operational workflows usingscripting or infrastructure-as-code tooling.

• Comfortable working inAgile(Jira)engineering teams collaborating across infrastructure platform and security functions.
