  • Level 6/7: $94998 - $117633 (pro rata) 17% superannuation

The University of Wollongong is seeking a dedicated Learning Skills Advisor (Neurodivergent Student Support) to play a key role in transforming academic and learning support for neurodivergent students. Integrated within the Neurodivergent Support Hub this role focuses on enabling students to succeed by developing proactive curriculumaligned workshops tailored academic literacy support and accessible learning resources.

You will work closely with Faculties academic staff and student support teams to ensure that neurodivergent students can confidently navigate university learning and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver academic literacy and learning support programs specifically tailored for neurodivergent students.
  • Provide individual and group learning advice and skills development workshops.
  • Develop curriculumaligned resources in partnership with Faculties to proactively build student capability.
  • Collaborate with academic and professional staff on learning development initiatives.
  • Create highquality learning resources and contribute to continuous improvement within the Learning Skills team.
  • Engage actively in team goals and support broader student success strategies across the University.

About You

You will be an inclusive studentcentred educator with a passion for neuroaffirming practices. Youll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications and experience in academic literacy learning development or a related discipline.
  • Recent teaching or instructional experience with the ability to engage and instil confidence in diverse learners.
  • Understanding of neurodivergent experiences (e.g. autism ADHD dyslexia) and the ability to apply neuroaffirming personcentred approaches.
  • Lived experience or extensive experience working with neurodivergent communities.
  • Strong communication interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational abilities initiative and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong digital literacy and the ability to learn new technologies to support student learning.
