Role Overview:
The Menu Monitor is responsible for coordinating and managing the patient mealselection process ensuring all choices are accurately captured and entered into the ChefMax system. Working from a structured fourweek menu cycle the role supports patients to make informed meal selections verifies dietary requirements and preferences and ensures all information is communicated efficiently to the kitchen to support timely and appropriate meal service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distribute discuss and collect meal selections from patients and residents using Alpine Healths approved menus ensuring choices are understood and accurately recorded.
- Enter all menu data into ChefMax Alpine Healths menu management software ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with dietary requirements.
- Liaise with the Essential Services Support Officer Dietitians Dietitian Assistants and other Menu Monitors to clarify dietary needs communicate changes and implement nutritional interventions as advised.
- Act as a key communication link between patients/residents and Dietitian Assistants supporting the monitoring of dietary adequacy encouraging appropriate food intake and promoting compliance with prescribed diets.
- Ensure all meal selections align with clinical dietary requirements including allergies texture modifications cultural needs and therapeutic diets.
- Provide respectful personcentred support to patients and residents when discussing meal options ensuring dignity choice and individual preferences are upheld.
- Report any concerns regarding nutritional intake appetite changes or barriers to eating to the appropriate clinical or dietary staff.
Essential:
- Previous administration or data entry experience
