We are partnering with a leading equipment house to hire a Sales Engineer to support their upcoming semiconductor projects. This role focuses on understanding customer challenges to provide tailored technical solutions through a consultative sales approach to drive long-term partnerships.
The ideal candidate should be collaborative working closely with internal engineering product and commercial teams to develop technical proposals and manage the sales process from opportunity identification through to project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Handle customer enquiries related to semiconductor and industrial automation products.
- Conduct technical product demonstrations and presentations to customers.
- Analyze customer requirements and propose tailored technical solutions.
- Develop technical sales strategies to increase revenue and improve conversion rates.
- Identify new business opportunities and support market expansion initiatives.
- Participate in trade shows and industry events to generate leads and grow the sales pipeline.
- Work with design engineering and product teams to develop customized solutions.
- Support conceptual design and technical proposal development.
- Manage the project lifecycle from pre-sales through project execution.
- Prepare periodic sales and project reports.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in sales or technical support for semiconductor automation or robotic systems preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical design and/or AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Exposure to project management in semiconductor or industrial automation environments is preferred.
- Good communication and presentation skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Occasional travel may be required.
