Job Summary
Subject to formal establishment Joint Boarding process and sS Policies a vacancy will arise for a SO1 to serve asSO1 Human Securityat HQ CSOC Defence Academy MOD Shrivenhamon FTRS (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 01 Jun 26 (or earlier/later subject to formal establishment and candidate status). The post is for an initial 36 months and is enduring.
Unit Function:
Generate and operate specialist capabilities ready to fight across all domains to make the UK secure at home and strong abroad.
Position Role:
SO1 Human Security
Responsibilities:
- Advising Comd CSOC and DComd on Human Security and preparing material and advice for DCOS/COS for VCDS-led Boards and HS Steering Groups.
- Serving as the 4* TLB focal point for all matters relating to Human Security and representing CSOC at the Human Security Steering Group chaired by ACDS(MS) and HS Implementation WG.
- Acting as the focal point for cross-CSOC Human Security implementation including policy on training planning execution and measurement of effectiveness.
- Maintaining functional contact with MOD Human Security team and other Front-Line Commands.
- Coordinating the efforts of subordinate CSOC HLBs to deliver an optimal response to Human Security challenges.
- Training educating and mentoring personnel on Human Security through national/international staff courses and providing specialist advice to JOPC and Staff Fundamental Courses.
- Providing support as Directing Staff to the DHSA course.
- 8. Maintain a network of Human Security Advisors within subordinate CSOC HLBs.
