Job Summary

What youll do:
- Under the supervision and direction of a licensed pharmacist the interns primary responsibility will be obtaining medication histories for patients admitted to St. Cloud Hospital. First year interns have the opportunity to complete Medication Reconciliation.
- May be assigned to assist with various clinical projects which can be tailored to an area of interest.
- Other duties may include but are not limited to: preparing and/or verifying preparation of unit dose medications preparing non-sterile compounded products and assisting in inventory management.
- Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients co-workers and others.
- Patients of all ages are served.
- Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.
Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
Schedule
- Causal position Around 80 hours per two weeks during the summer Average 4-8 hours per pay period during school year
- Days generally 7:30am-4pm evenings generally 12:30pm-9pm. Every 3rd weekend in summer.
Pay and Benefits
- $20.51 per hour

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an ACPE accredited Pharmacy program and has successfully completed the first professional year in a pharmacy program.
- Licensed as a pharmacist-intern with the MN Board of Pharmacy.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician/intern is preferred but not required.
