Job Description
As a Security Officer - Gated Communityin Irvine CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a commercial real estate location you will help manage access control by verifying credentials issuing badges and monitoring entry points. You will conduct routine patrols stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents and respond to concerns with calm professional customer service. You will use a computer and/or tablet to document activity while supporting a caring agile team that acts with integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Manage access control at entry points by verifying resident tenant employee vendor and visitor credentials issuing visitor passes as directed and maintaining accurate entry and exit logs.
- Monitor cameras alarms and access control systems; report irregular activity and/or maintenance concerns to site contacts according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting emergency services when needed and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas garages amenity spaces and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
