Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver CPOin Tampa FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal on an armed patrol post supporting a government location. You will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and respond to calls for service with clear communication and professionalism. This is a driving role requiring a valid drivers license and an armed guard card or license where teamwork integrity and a people-first approach matter every shift.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors staff and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures access control protocols and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Perform armed patrol duties by conducting regular and random patrols of interior areas exterior grounds and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards policy violations and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor entry points and controlled areas verify identification and/or authorizations as required and help maintain orderly movement through checkpoints in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; request assistance from emergency services and/or site leadership as needed and follow established escalation procedures.
- Complete detailed security-related reports and logs document observations and actions taken and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal leadership and/or authorized site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Have 3 or more years combined law enforcement military and/or security experience or a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
