Job Description
As a Security Guard Flex Armed Response Patrol in Reston VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Perform armed patrol duties with a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity; conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas parking areas and the perimeter as assigned.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation dispatching appropriate resources and coordinating with clinical staff and law enforcement as directed.
- Control access to restricted areas by monitoring entrances verifying credentials managing visitor check-in and/or screening deliveries according to site requirements.
- Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols incidents and security-related activities; maintain issued equipment and firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies and applicable laws.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a DCJS license in Virginia only.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- A handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
