Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Rapid Response in Salisbury NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document observations support site procedures and work closely with a team that values integrity. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to onsite staff visitors and/or contractors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or contraband movement; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
- Control access at gates entrances and/or checkpoints by verifying identification processing visitors screening deliveries and maintaining required logs and reports in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating notifications assisting with de-escalation and supporting evacuations and/or lockdown procedures when directed.
- Assist with controlled movement and/or escorts of authorized individuals monitor restricted areas through observation and CCTV when assigned and document observations incidents and actions taken in written and/or electronic reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
