Job Summary
Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Radiographer
Location: Elmhurst NY 11373
Compensation:
Travel Rate: $2912.50/week
Local Rate: $2325/week
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift & Schedule:
Evening Shift: 4:00 PM 12:00 AM
5 Days per Week
Alternating weekends holidays and weekend coverage required
Job Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist (Radiographer) to support diagnostic imaging services in a hospital-based acute care setting. The technologist will perform general radiographic procedures ensuring accurate imaging while maintaining patient safety comfort and compliance with radiation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to physician orders
Position patients properly to obtain clear and accurate images
Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system
Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures
Collaborate with physicians nurses and healthcare staff
Report equipment issues and assist with quality assurance processes
Follow infection control and hospital safety protocols
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of General Radiographer experience
Acute care hospital experience required
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist training program
ARRT Certification
Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist License
Preferred Qualifications
BLS Certification
Experience in high-volume hospital radiology departments
Familiarity with EPIC or other electronic health record systems
Strong communication and patient care skills
