Mezzanine Bursary Programme
This is an academic merit bursary open to full-time first year students studying towards Computer Science but may lack necessary resources to complete such studies. This bursary is for the 2026 academic year.
The bursary may cover the following:
- Tuition
- University accommodation
We also offer job shadowing and networking opportunities with Mezzanine staff.
Requirements:
- must be a South African citizen by birth
- must be located in the Western Cape
- must be unemployed
- must have passed Grade 12 with a minimum average of 65%
- must be enrolled as a first year student for full-time undergraduate studies at a recognised and accredited university in the Western Cape towards a qualification in Computer Science.
- must not be in possession of any other bursary for the applied for year of study
- must not have a criminal record
- must have a clear credit record

- Copy of matric certificate (certified)
- Motivational letter
- Proof of registration and/or acceptance for year of study
- Latest fee statement/quotation for the applied for year of study
- Proof of household income (latest 3 months payslips of parent(s)/guardian(s) or affidavit stating unemployment)
Once applied we will then carefully assess your application and provide you with feedback as soon as possible. Should we require further information we will contact you.
Closing date: 31 March 2026
Bursaries will be awarded on merit and financial need and in accordance with Mezzanines employment equity plan. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Should you not hear from us after 30 days of the closing date you may consider your application unsuccessful.
