Job Description
As a Security Guard - Unarmed Rover Driver in Richmond CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct driving patrols as needed document observations respond to requests and provide strong customer service and clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facilities buildings substations parking areas and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and perform visitor contractor and delivery check-in including verifying identification issuing site credentials as directed and directing individuals to the appropriate location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications assisting with incident scene control and supporting arriving responders as directed by site procedures.
- Complete detailed written reports and logs of patrol activity incidents maintenance concerns and policy violations and communicate key information to site management and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required to meet client requirements.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
