Cloud Ops Expert

The CloudOps Expert is responsible for providing developers with a high-performance and stable technology environment aligned with infrastructure and information security best practices while also developing cost-control strategies. Supporting and training developers are key tools to ensure the optimal use of Cloud technologies. The incumbent must maintain up-to-date knowledge in this field in order to act as a subject matter expert for development teams and ensure proper follow-up on requests and projects.

Infrastructure Maintenance and Development for Developers (approximately 65% of the time)

Participate in the implementation operation and documentation of development tools and shared services including:

• Maintain on-premises and Cloud development infrastructure for developers
• Administration maintenance and operation of Windows and Linux servers
• Administration maintenance and operation of container environments
• Support and train developers in the use of Cloud technologies
• Apply organizational policies related to information security
• Maintain DevOps tools (Azure DevOps Jenkins etc.)
• Design and develop automation tools and scripts for deployment and solution management

Environment Monitoring (approximately 25% of the time)

• Maintain and support monitoring solutions for shared services and development environments
• Provide consultation and support to client teams in deploying monitoring solutions
• Manage access and control for various environments
• Perform fast regular and accurate analysis of abnormal events originating from telemetry networks endpoints SaaS platforms and logs

Training and Technology Watch (approximately 10% of the time)

• Participate in researching new tools and improving processes
• Propose and implement improvements in the management and automation of existing projects
• Acquire and share technical knowledge and best practices related to Cloud infrastructure

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree or college diploma (DEC) in Computer Science with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (system administration with cloud expertise)

• Experience and strong knowledge of the following:

• Azure expertise (essential)
• DevOps and networking tools (strong asset)
• Good scripting knowledge (PowerShell)
• Solid experience with monitoring and incident alerting tools such as Prometheus Grafana and VictorOps

• This position requires bilingualism as the candidate will work with documentation in both French and English and will need to communicate verbally and in writing with French- and English-speaking partners clients suppliers and colleagues.
