Job Summary

Were looking for a talented and detail-oriented PHP Developer to join our growing engineering team in Munich this role youll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design develop and maintain robust web applications that drive our business forward. Develop test and deploy high-quality PHP applications using modern frameworks and best practices
Design and implement efficient database solutions using MySQL and other relational databases with a focus on performance optimization
Build and maintain RESTful APIs that integrate seamlessly with front-end applications and third-party services
Collaborate with product managers designers and fellow developers to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
Write clean well-documented code and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality consistency and knowledge sharing across the team
Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues using analytical and problem-solving skills
Participate in agile development cycles contributing to sprint planning daily standups and retrospectives
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous innovation and improvement
Contribute to the full development lifecycle from requirements analysis through deployment monitoring and maintenance
Support team members and mentor junior developers in a collaborative inclusive atmosphere that fosters professional development
Implement and maintain security best practices and secure coding standards throughout the development process
Participate in code documentation and technical knowledge sharing initiatives to strengthen team capabilities

Qualifications :

**Required Qualifications:**

3 years of professional experience developing web applications using PHP
Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL) and SQL query optimization
Experience with HTML CSS and JavaScript for front-end integration
Proficiency with version control systems particularly Git
Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Familiarity with Linux/Unix command line and basic system administration
Knowledge of security best practices and secure coding principles

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker)
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD)
Background in e-commerce platforms or Content Management Systems (CMS)
Experience with performance profiling and optimization techniques
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools
Experience working in EU-based teams or with international stakeholders
Experience with API documentation tools and technical writing
Proficiency in debugging tools and advanced troubleshooting techniques
