Job Description
As a Security Officer - Healthcare Foot Patrol in Baltimore MD you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff patients and visitors support access control and incident response and document activity using computer and/or tablet tools. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by following site-specific procedures access control practices and other security-related post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter observing for unusual activity hazards and/or policy violations and reporting findings.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with clinical staff and/or local emergency responders as needed.
- Monitor entrances corridors parking areas and other assigned areas helping to deter unauthorized access loitering and/or disruptive behavior.
- Complete shift activity logs and incident reports communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience working in a hospital environment with vaccines is required.
- Experience working in a hospital morgue environment is required.
- Ability to restrain individuals is required.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
