M&A Associate – Renewable Investment

In this role you will be at the forefront of the strategic growth journey of BESIX Power abroad. You will play a key role in shaping and executing the M&A strategy contributing to deal sourcing financial analysis and transaction parallel you will support the team with project coordination and performance tracking ensuring alignment with executive stakeholders and strategic goals.

• Buy-side M&A: Support end-to-end M&A transaction processes including screening and identification of M&A opportunities valuation models participations in acquisition processes and negotiations participate in financial due diligence and executing acquisitions that align with the long-term strategy of BESIX Power.
• Modelling: Building reviewing and maintaining financial models developing business cases for new markets; maintaining internal databases.
• Financing: Assessing structuring and negotiating acquisition financings project financings and shareholder financings.
• Analysis and monitoring: analyzing financial and operational data.
• Support: portfolio monitoring and financial reporting including preparation of executive-level presentations investment memos and reports for internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications :

• Masters degree in Finance Economics or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in investment banking other forms of M&A advisory project finance valuation ideally with exposure and/or strong interest for renewable energy and energy transition.
• Strong financial modelling skills and an understanding of project and corporate finance.
• Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage work under pressure in a collaborative environment.
• Proactive and self driven.
• Comfortable to an entrepreneurial setting with a positive can-do attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluency in English. Any other language is a plus.
