Job Summary

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Senior Motion Capture Specialist to join our team in the Boston hub as we continue to build the motion capture foundation for our upcoming projects!

This role is part of the Shared Development Services (SDS) group meaning you will be embedded within a collaborative cross-studio collective supporting multiple productions. As a Senior Motion Capture Specialist youll play a key role in planning and executing mocap sessions and processing animation data across projects. Youll work closely with a diverse team of artists animators and developers to bring believable high-quality performances to life.

Daily responsibilities:

Overseeing all stages of the motion capture shoot.
Processing mocap data: retargeting solving tracking.
Coordinating logistics and collaborating with internal stakeholders during shoot planning.
Designing and assembling mobile mocap setups for offsite shoots.
Maintaining and improving hardware related to the mocap pipeline.
Researching new technologies to evolve the teams pipeline and practices.

Qualifications :

5 years of professional experience in motion capture in production environments (games film or commercials).
Experience with performance capture.
Proficiency with at least one mocap software suite Shogun or Blade.
Strong knowledge of Autodesk MotionBuilder.
Experience designing setups for remote/on-location shoots.
Familiarity with solving pipelines and video capture systems.
Timecode syncing experience.
Comfortable working in a dynamic and agile production stage environment with creatives.
Collaborative and inclusive approach to teamwork.

Nice to have

Python scripting experience is a plus.
Ability to maintain professionalism when working with talent.
Experience with Unreal Engine is a plus
HMC Technology experience is a plus.

Estimated pay range for this position: $118800 - $196000 USD annually

The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Final offers are dependent on job-related factors like experience qualifications and location.
