Purpose of the Role
The Logistics Procurement Planner is responsible for planning and managing the supply of raw materials and components to ensure production continuity and inventory balance.
The role converts demand signals and production plans into accurate procurement requirements coordinating closely with suppliers purchasing and internal logistics teams to guarantee material availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Planning & Material Availability
Plan and manage material requirements based on customer demand production plans and system parameters.
Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components to support uninterrupted production.
Monitor supplier deliveries and proactively address potential shortages or supply risks.
Supplier Coordination & Supply Stability
Maintain regular communication with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve supply issues.
Support escalation and mitigation plans for material shortages or delays.
Collaborate with Purchasing to improve supplier delivery performance.
System & Planning Governance
Maintain accurate planning parameters in the ERP system (SAP) (lead times safety stock lot sizes reorder points).
Ensure system transactions and procurement signals are aligned with operational reality.
Support system discipline and data integrity within material planning processes.
Inventory Management Support
Monitor inventory levels to balance service performance and working capital targets.
Identify excess slow-moving or obsolete materials and support mitigation actions.
Collaborate with Inventory Control to maintain system accuracy and material traceability.
Supply Risk Monitoring
Track supply risks related to demand fluctuations supplier constraints or logistics disruptions.
Develop alternative scenarios and mitigation actions to protect production and customer deliveries.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Monitor procurement planning KPIs such as material availability supplier delivery performance and inventory levels.
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at stabilizing supply and reducing inventory variability.
Participate in process optimization and digitalization initiatives within supply chain planning.
Safety Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies procurement governance and logistics standards.
Support traceability requirements and quality processes related to supplier materials.

Qualifications :
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Industrial Engineering Business or related field.
Experience in material planning procurement planning or supply chain coordination in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of SAP systems and planning methodologies.
