Job Description:	The Department of Medicine invites applications for a full-time nontenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Scientist level in the Division of Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. The successful candidate will work in the research laboratory of Dr. Jane Yu supporting studies focused on female prevalent lung diseases and advancing research in woman diseases including tuberous sclerosis complex lymphangioleiomyomatosis emphysema lupus and cystic fibrosis. The position offers an opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary research focused on steroid biology and physiology cell differentiation cellular metabolism biochemistry cell biology computational biomedical investigation preclinical study of drug efficacy and clinical relevance Responsibilities: Conduct independent research in biochemistry cell biology histopathology physiology and molecular biology. Develop and implement innovative research plans. Collaborate with faculty and researchers. Mentor and train postdoctoral fellows students and lab technicians. Publish research findings in high-impact journals. Apply for intramural and extramural funding to support research initiatives. Expected Salary:	Salary is negotiable commensurate with education and experience.
Required Qualifications:	PhD MD MD/PhD or equivalent degree in biomedical sciences. Completion of postdoctoral training with an outstanding publication record. Innovative research plan relevant to molecular biology and biochemistry.
Preferred:	Experience with small animal surgery and non-invasive animal (mouse and rat) imaging in research. Previous involvement in interdisciplinary research projects.
