| Job Description: | The Department of Medicine invites applications for a full-time nontenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Scientist level in the Division of Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. The successful candidate will work in the research laboratory of Dr. Jane Yu supporting studies focused on female prevalent lung diseases and advancing research in woman diseases including tuberous sclerosis complex lymphangioleiomyomatosis emphysema lupus and cystic fibrosis. The position offers an opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary research focused on steroid biology and physiology cell differentiation cellular metabolism biochemistry cell biology computational biomedical investigation preclinical study of drug efficacy and clinical relevance Responsibilities: Conduct independent research in biochemistry cell biology histopathology physiology and molecular biology. Develop and implement innovative research plans. Collaborate with faculty and researchers. Mentor and train postdoctoral fellows students and lab technicians. Publish research findings in high-impact journals. Apply for intramural and extramural funding to support research initiatives. The UF Health Science Center and its six colleges are co-located on the Gainesville campus with additional teaching research and patient care sites in Jacksonville Orlando other sites across Florida and internationally.
