Nature and Scope of Positions:
The State Reporting & SIS Support serves as the district lead for student and staff data integrity and state reporting. This position ensures accurate and timely submissions to the Indiana Department of Education and maintains the quality and compliance of data within PowerSchool.
This role works closely with the PowerSchool Administrator HR Director Business Manager
building secretaries school administrators and district departments to resolve reporting
conflicts correct data inconsistencies and support accurate student record management. This position will also work with the communication department and the building secretaries to ensure that data is correctly syncing between district communication tools and enrollment
modules within the student management system.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all required state reporting collections and submissions for staff and students
Monitor and resolve reporting conflicts with other school corporations
Audit and validate data prior to submission
Troubleshoot reporting errors and implement corrective actions
Monitor data quality and work with staff to correct missing or inconsistent information
Assist with SIS administrative functions (rollover calendars/terms code mappings
enrollments)
Collaborate with district departments to ensure data accuracy
Participate in state and PowerSchool trainings to remain current on reporting updates
Monitor and manage SchoolMessenger
Monitor and manage PowerSchool enrollment
Monitor and manage PowerSchool SafeArrival
Qualifications
Experience working with student information systems or data systems preferred
Experience with PowerSchool preferred
Experience with Indiana state reporting preferred
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
Ability to manage multiple deadlines
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Associates Degree preferred; or SQL Certification/Experience
