Inside Sales/Counter Sales Associate

We are currently in search of a career orientated person to join our Customer Service team on both the plumbing and electrical side. The position operates in a fast paced dynamic rewarding environment and will assume responsibility for all counter sales and product returns while providing expertise as a member of the customer service team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Offering exceptional customer service at our counter and over the phone
- Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
- Processing orders in the system
- Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
- Consistent training and understanding of current products
- Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
- Handling returns as required
- Keeping counter and sales area clean
- Merchandising and showcasing product
- Other duties as required
- Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
- Contacting current customers and identifying new products and potential up-selling
- Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
- Maintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new products
- Providing product information pricing quotations and follow-up on quotes
- Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
- Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking product pricing deliveries and overall service
- Supporting Counter Sales and handling returns as required
- Working closely with others to ensure customer needs are met

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years sales experience (counter sales inside sales or outside sales)
- Post-Secondary courses in Electrical are considered an asset
- Knowledge of the electrical industry or a background in electrical products would be considered an asset including - lighting wiring devices distribution and motor control
- Final candidates will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
