Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room (OR)
Location: Syracuse NY
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Compensation
Travel Rate: Up to $3101.50 per week (based on experience)
Local Rate: Up to $2700 per week (based on experience)
Shift & Schedule
Day Shift
5 shifts per week
8-hour shifts (7:00 AM 3:00 PM)
40 hours per week
Every third weekend required
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The RN will support a variety of surgical procedures while collaborating closely with surgeons anesthesiologists and the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures
Prepare operating rooms surgical instruments and equipment for surgery
Assist the surgical team during various procedures
Maintain sterile techniques and follow infection control protocols
Monitor patients and respond to changes during procedures
Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Ensure patient safety and compliance with clinical standards and policies
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License New York State
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
Experience in acute care hospital settings
Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in trauma center hospitals
Experience assisting in general orthopedic neuro or robotic surgeries
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
